The Homebased Microprocessor program allows Kentucky farmers to sell certain value-added products at Farmers Markets and other specified locations. To qualify, the final product must contain a primary Kentucky-grown ingredient (fruit, vegetable, nut or herb) which is grown, harvested, processed and marketed by a farmer who lives in Kentucky. This videotaped workshop is the first step towards certification as a Homebased Microprocessor and must be followed by recipe approval and annual registration through the Kentucky Cabinet for Health Services, Food Safety Branch.
